September – Autumn Equinox / Sunday the 19th

HER wishes to welcome your presence in the forest for the third quarterly forest volunteer event of the year on Sunday September 19th. The forest is a living classroom for the public to learn about local plant species and dynamics in order to better serve the land.

 

We will meet at 10:00am. Parking is located between mm 16 and 17 on Highway 130, at the intersection of Pahoa-Kalapana Rd and Upper Puna Rd, just above Black Sands subdivision. Please bring long clothes, sturdy shoes/boots, hat, gloves, rain gear, mosquito repellant, 1-2 quarts of drinking water, and lunch.
