UHH Community Fair – September 1st

This year, the Community Fair at UH Hilo began with an ʻono lunch provided by the Center for Community Engagement, bringing faculty and representatives from contributing organizations together to learn more about one another and explore ways we might further collaborate in our shared missions.

This was followed by tabling on the library lanai, as usual, where we had the opportunity to connect with interested students, share ways they could get involved, and perhaps introduce them to meaningful and alternative career paths through nonprofit work.

Getting to know representatives from each organization made a meaningful difference for HER, helping us feel more connected as agents of change. Having greater access to one another in this way truly enhanced opportunities for collaboration, connection, and engagement.
